Missions and Outreach

At Cornerstone Baptist Church we are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:19 and to this end we support both financially and prayerfully the following missionaries and outreach projects:

Current Missions Projects

Mark and Kim

Mark and Kim will be traveling to Veszprem, Hungary July 19-August 2 to join with Adam and Dora Szabados and their church for a camp retreat where Mark will be teaching on the importance of Biblical theology in the head, heart and home. This will also be a great opportunity for Mark and Kim to encourage the Szabados family as well as our brothers and sisters in Hungary. Please pray for them in the following ways: that the ministry of the Word would prove timely and powerful in shaping their families and that their presence would be a source of strong encouragement for our friends.

Rob and Liz

Elizabeth (11 years old) and Rob will be going to Bolivia in conjunction with the ministry  Food for the Hungry (www.fh.org) from July 16 – 25, 2011. They will be going with a team from Mountain Christian Church in Cedar Crest, New Mexico. While on the ground they will be working to help those living in poverty to learn skills that will help them to provide for themselves and their families. Rob and Liz will be in the community of Horno C’kasa B which is near Sucre, Bolivia. Please pray that they would be able to raise financial support for this trip and that God would prepare their hearts trip as well as the hearts of the people of Horno C’kasa B.

Luke and Julie

Luke and Julie will be traveling to Pune, India mid-to-late July for three weeks, at which time they will explore the long-term opportunity of working with a local Indian pastor in the planting of a training institute for Indian pastors and church planters. This trip will focus on getting to know the people they would be working along-side and confirming like-mindedness in ministry. They will also discuss and develop some of the logistics of the school and learn how to prepare for a long-term ministry in India. Please pray for them in the following ways: for wisdom and guidance as they pursue this life-changing opportunity.
